Removal from home

I have a 25 year old son that we have asked to move out of our home. He has refused to do so. How do we get him out?

Re: Removal from home

You must go through the presumably painful ordeal of a parent branding his or her child as a trespasser and, consequently, subject to removal as such by law enforcement authorities who are summoned to the premises to carry out the deed, if required to do so.

What is required to bring this about?

You prepare a written notice to your son that he and his items of personal property must be removed from your premises by a date certain, and, if such does not happen by this predetermined date, then you will have no alternative but to summon the local law enforcement authorities to have him removed and, if necessary, prosecuted by the local office of the Commonwealth's Attorney for trespassing. And, in addition, that his chattels(items of personal property) will be turned over to charity or disposed of in any other manner that you see fit.

Then, if the date comes and goes, and without the action requested carried out, you must call the police to have the designated trespasser removed.
