Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I requested arrearage for child support in the state of Virginia; however, I was not granted it. What are the state laws that state I am entitled to it starting from the date that the non-custodial parent was served?

If you mean to say that you attempted to serve papers on the non-custodial parent in an

attempt to retrocactively establish arrearages for the first time allegedly owed by this particular

parent, the answer must be that such arrearages cannot be retroactively established where no

prior order for support exists and which would necessarily cause the court to dismiss your petition which under these circumstances would be invalid on its face.
