Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
I reside in the state of Virginia where my husband and I, along with our two minor children have lived since we married in 2004. We are now separated and have been for 6 months. I have already proceeded with sole physical custody and joint inwhich the childrend live with me. I want to file for a no fault (uncontested) divorce- there is no hope of us reuniting. Is it possible for this to go through quickly and at a fairly cheap price? Also my soon to be ex-husband has displayed inpredictablly violent and irrational behavior. Do u think it wise to get a protective order against him and to halt visitaion?

Uncontested divorce, probably a minimum of $1000---$1500.
More information needed, but suspension of visitation would likely be premature.
Sure, quick and cheap is possible if both agree to everything.
I also agree, more information needed as to other issues. You need to consult an attorney. You can not get comprehensive advice in an online legal forum.
In Lynchburg area, truly uncontested divorces go for around $500 to $1,000.
Good luck.
