what is the sentence for simple assault with a closed fist with a guilty plea for a first time offender

The person you describe taking such a plea would normally be eligible for an SIS (Suspended Imposition of Sentence), and after successfully completing the conditions (community service, etc.) laid down by the court for probation, would then be able to have the case administratively closed after one year and there would be no record of any conviction.
