Can I leave my husband at any time and not be charged for desertion. Can I take my furniture.

Generally, yes, if you stay in touch with him and keep him reasonably informed as to your whereabouts(unless there is some legal reason as to why he should not know). And, yes, you can take with you whatever personal property belongs to you, including your furniture.
