Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
Seperation Agreement
Is a seperation agreement any good if you reconcile with other party for 4 years? Would it be null and void. We were never married, agrrement just covered support and custody and tax issues. Would it need to be revised?

Re: Seperation Agreement
No, your Property Settlement Agreement(PSA)should not be susceptible to a claim that it is now null and void due to the reconciliation of the parties if it contains a clause which guarantees its continued viability in the event of such reconciliation.(Most PSA's contain this type of clause.) However, even if such is the case, your PSA
may still be in need of modification due to the passage of time and changes in the circumstances of the parties.
