Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

signed mediation agreement

i signed a seperation agreement that had false information in the property settlement figures.

this agreement was reached through mediation and i had it reviewed by an attourney.

it was brough to my attention by my accountant at a later review of my books.

this misstake gave the property settlement a significant imbalance in her favor.

how can i overturn this agreement or this portion of the agreement.

thanks,

Re: signed mediation agreement

Depending on how the information is false you should be able to bring an action based on fraud to set aside the agreement. I would need more specific facts as to how the information was false. Did the other party hide assets, minimize the value of the asset or fail to disclose information? If so a fraud action would be appropriate. Please call my office at 301-652-0663 if you would like to discuss.
