Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I signed over a vehicle to my soon to be ex husband to him. he still has not registered it in his name, so it is still in mine. what are my legal rights pertaining to the vehicle? would it be better to report it to dmv or sell it myself?

Send him written notice that if he hasn't properly registered this vehicle

with the DMV within three months from the date of your letter, you will then have to put it up for sale.
