Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I am a single mother of 2 children with an illegal Mexican . We are broke up now and he is threatening to take my children from me . I am afraid that he is going to run with them , right now I am wanting to file for full custody and I have a limitited income. I have a steady job for 4 years now and have been sole provider for them , Can he just come and get the kids. I am really scared to let him see them because he has threatened to run with them what are my rights as a mother.?

Unless this illegal Mexican is recognized as the legal father of these children, he has no valid claim to parental rights over them whatsoever. NADA!

You can, and should go right away to the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court in your area and file for custody of the children. You can do that without an attorney. An order granting you custody will go a long way to protect the children, even if he is foolish enough to take them out of the country.
