Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
My sister is going to send her children to live with the grandparents of the man who is the father of her two little girls. They were never married, he was just the donor. The grandparents live in Texas and my sister lives in Virginia. She is sending them to live there for the term of one year. Her main goal is to reduce bills and generate some savings. She has given this information to the two grandparents in Texas. Is it possible for them to deem her an unfit mother, being that she can't afford them and is giving them up for one year? Also does the state of Texas afford grandparents rights when it come to grand children custody? Could she loose her children is the grandparents decided to persue this?
