Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Im sixteen, and my daughter just turned two months on the second.

Do i have to have my parents sign the legal papers at her doctors office as a garauntor since im still a mi.or, or am i allowed to sign them being the fact i am her mother, and that would mean i cant sign for decisions, my parents would, even though she is my baby.

It's probably up to the doctor as to whether he will accept your signature

as the sole promisor to pay or will require that at least one of

your parents act as a guarantor of payment.

If the doctor is aware that even though you're a minor, you

cannot legally disaffirm (refuse to honor) your contract to pay him if it involves what the law terms "the necessaries of life", then s/he may be more willing to accept just your signature (my opinion).
