Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I am sixteen. I am not living with my biological parents. My friend's mother has custody of me. I want to get emancipated. My biological mother has no rights to me, and my biological father is dead. I want to get emancipated because I do not wish to live with this family any longer. I think it will be beneficial for both sides. I am fianacially stable. I have benefits from my dad and I have a job. I have a place to go as soon as my emancipation is granted. I have a good feeling my gaurdians will contest the petition. I do have some things that would make me look not so responsible in court, but I can prove that I am no longer in need to be worried about over them. I will be seventeen in November and I can get my license in November as well. I need to know what I need to do and how to do it. I also need to know what chance I have of getting my petition granted.

Not a good idea (in my opinion), particularly, for one who has "some things" in her past which would likely make her "look not so responsible in court".
