Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My ex has been very sketchy about keeping up with his obligations. He is supposed to help support our son as well as pay for his school. I learned today that he has not paid the school for three months and his phone has been cut off. I have no way of reaching him. I am afraid to let my son go with him as I won't be able to contact him. Not sure what I should do or how much any action will cost.

Demand a verifiable address(including new phone number) for the father before allowing your son to go there as well as an explanation as to when the school costs will be paid.
