Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My son is 5 years old and I got sole & physical custody last August. I have been married for 2 years and my child knows my husband as he daddy. My son's biological father disappeared about 4 years ago. Apparently he was on the run and got caught and went to jail. When my son was first born me and his biological father had parental rights and my mother had legal custody (for medical coverage). Like I stated before I went to court last year and was granted sole & physical custody of my child. I recieved an email from his biological father's girlfriend last night stating he would like to see my son and so on and so on. I do NOT feel comfortable with this at all and I want to know if I have to let him see my son or what laws I would break if I didn't let him see him. Thank you.

Absent a valid court order giving this father specific visitation rights, the answer would appear to be that you're currenly under no legal obligation to allow him to visit your son.
