Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

When my son was younger I gave up custody to the father because of the living conditions i was in. i was 9mths preg when the case went to court for child support..The judge ordered I pay 110.00 on the first and 110.00 on the 15th of every month..I was unable to work and my husband helped as much as he could to pay some monthly..I fell into an arreage..Went back to court and was told to pay 110.00 the first and 135.00 on the 15th of every month with 25.00 going to the arrears. I had fallen a lil behind thru the years but caught up. My son is now 20 and I am paying 245.00 a month to the father with all of that going to the arrears.. The judge wouldnt let me modify it. I am a stay at home mom with a 3 yr old while my husband works. I have 3 other children..5,13,17. My husband has helped me stay current off n on through the years on this..Right now I am behind on my Oct 1st-15th..Nov 1- 15 payment. Have been behind for a few months but have done what i can to catch up. 10-26-11 I payed 245.00 for 8-15 and 9-1 payment and 11-9-11 I paid 135.00 for my 9-15-11 payment. He is threatening me with papers for court and sending me harrassing text for more money as Im not up to date with the arrear debt payments. Can I go to jail for this? I havent responded to his text as I am afraid it will become heated.

Jail, no, I don't see that as long as you've been making (and continue to make)

honest efforts to pay these arrearages.
