My sons father wonts to sign over his rights. I live in Va and he lives in Ga how do i go about that? any advice would help

A parent cannot merely "sign over his rights' and expect to be relieved of his parental responsibilites for a particular child or children by signing a piece of paper claiming such as his intent.

Rather, only a court of proper jurisidiction is validly empowered to terminate such parental rights,

and in the Commonwealth of Virginia would only normally to so when there is another individual who is willing and qualified to "step into the shoes", so to speak of the individual whose parental rights are to be terminated, such as might occur in a step-parent adoption type situation.
