Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Spousal Abuse

Im in a bad marriage. A month ago he broke my wrist and I lied and told everyone I fell, a few people know the truth. Yesterday he beat down my bathroom door to get to me. He has cheated on me. I have NO money. I work 40 hours a week but pay family health insurance with my check. What should I do? Im scared and dont know what steps to take first. He has the upper hand. He has moved out of the house, that is in his name. We have been married for 15 years. Bought the house 3 years ago but only his name is on the loan. We have 2 kids together and I am broke. I want to take him to court...can I use my wrist and the affair he had a year ago againest him? He needs to stop the physical and emotional abuse. I have reached rock bottom. Any advice. I need a cheap lawyer.

Yes, you should see a lawyer. Perhaps, you might qualify for assistance with an attorney from one of the low cost legal services providers in your area

and at minimum cost to you.

Call them and find out.
