Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Spouse's Rights

What can a wife do about a husband who takes her car when he gets angry with her? He is listed as the co-signer; however, he takes the car early in the morning before I get up and leaves me stranded for work and important documents that I need are left in the car, which causes me problems at work. In addition, he has a brand new truck that I don't have keys too (because he took them away from me) I would like a legal seperation. How does that work when there are minor children involved.

Re: Spouse's Rights

You ask several questions that cannot be succinctly answered in a few sentences. I would advise contacting an attorney to more fully address how you should proceed. Also, with respect to separating and minor children, you would need to either come to an agreement with your husband as to custody/support, or move in court for the same pending resolution of the divorce.
