Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

In the state of Virginia does abandonement effect a persons rights? Someone has to leave the home, I am confused on what consituites abandonment. I am considering moving out but not sure if it will end in divorce.

A spouse who moves from the marital home but remains accessible to and

in contact as appropriate with family members and/or spouse who remain

behind is unlikely to be charged with a sustainable charge of

abandonment under current Virginia law (in my opinion).
