Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Stealing Alimony

My spouse's ex-spouse never disclosed her income since 1985 which determined levels of alimony for her. She claims my ex waited to long to ask the court to modify or end alimony and that she is old and poor and needs the max $400 monthly. She has been unjustly enriched by over $50,000. I have a 16 year old daughter (adopted by my spouse) about to enter college. Can I take her to court myself to fight for the money she is fighting to keep to take care of our child's living and college expenses?

Re: Stealing Alimony

No, your husband is the one who must petition the court either for a reduction or termination in his obligation to pay alimony to his former spouse.
