Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I have a stepson 37 years old, holding a nurses license that is living in my basement, has not worked in over 5 years, talks to his mom like a dog and she will not let me intervene. I want to throw him out. he has destroyed my personal property, has stolen from me, will not clean, complains about everything annd blames his mom for all of his problems. Looking for suggested recourse.

Assuming that this stepson's mom is a co-owner of this property which includes the basement where stepson now makes his habitat, she can

allow him to reside there as long as she wants and irrespective of what

you may want.
