Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Suit for Overpayment of Child Support

I and Virginia Child support enforcement are being sued by my ex husband for overpayment of child support. I do not have an attorney, therefore, I represent myself. He intends to sue for attorney fees as well. Is there a requirment for him to notify me before the hearing the amount he intends to sue for. If so how many days in advance is the requirement. Thank you.

Re: Suit for Overpayment of Child Support

If you're a defendant in the matter, you're supposed to be served with a copy of the lawsuit which would include the amount of damages being sought and this should happen long before the date of the scheduled trial.
