Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

''Support Arrearages''

Can a court in Va. add spousal support arrearages to a final decree if there was no pendente lite order for support? The spousal support is by PSA. Thanks.

Re: ''Support Arrearages''

If it's in the Property Settlement Agreement(PSA), which has been properly prepared, agreed to by the parties, and incorporated(but not merged)in the Final Decree of Divorce, the answer is, yes, such arrearages may be "added" to use your term, even in the absence of a prior pendente lite order.
