Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Taking a child out of the country.

Me and my ex have joint custody and my ex is planing to take my son to Thailand. I do not want him to do that because it's really dangerous and a lot of crimes going--name removed--there because of the economy. I'm really concern about my child safety. What can i do to stop him from taking my child? Please help, he's planing to go in March next year.

Re: Taking a child out of the country.

You could request that the Virginia court which has jurisdiction over the issue of custody schedule a hearing to consider your evidence and argument as to why the father of the subject child should not be permitted to travel to Thailand with his son.
