Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Im taking my sons father back to court to modify for a visitation order we got in April 2012. Im taking him back because from the time we got it he hasnt been abiding by the order. He would go weeks and months without getting him and fathers day he is a no show so now that im taking him back to court he is now getting him as he should since october which is when i went to the court. What do u think the judge will do? My son is 10 and we live in Richmond, va. He thinks he cann pick him up whatever time he wants tbe designated pick up and drop off time is 6pm.. Am i doing the right thing

Yes, if you have material, i.e., significant evidence showing that he has

violated the court's visitation order (in my opinion). (However, other than a verbal reprimand, if this is his first time before the judge on this particular

allegation, the judge may do nothing more than that.)
