Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My teenage (16) daughter was charged with possesion of marijuana.

The police officer did not read her rights to her before questioning and then he took her in his car so she could rat someone out. Does he have a right to do this without my consent?

Probably not, which may be one more reason why your daughter should have an attorney who can undertake the appropriate remedies to address these possible police missteps in the charging of your 16 year old daughter with marijuana possession.
