Would Like Temporary Custody of Grandson

Have been caring (full Support) for Grandson 15 years. Lived with us permanently for last 3. He has started using drugs moved back with mom who also uses drugs and lets him. Would like to get him in a rehab center while there is still hope for him. Need temporary custody to give me some control.

Do you think there is a chance that I can make this happen?

I am scared to death for him - he also suffers from depression - has been seeing counselor - now has stopped taking medicine.

Would appreciate an answer.

Your petition for custody of your grandson would have to assert facts sufficiently compelling to convince a court by a preponderance of the evidence that his mother is an unfit custodian for her son and that it would be in his best interest to be placed with you at the time the matter is before the court.
