Temporary Guardianship

My son of 16 is moving to VA from TX. He will be staying with his older brother of 28 and his family. I want to know what I need to provide for my older son for him to beable to provide both medical care and any other situations that srrise for his younger brother we are not interested in giving full custody to them at this time.

Re: Temporary Guardianship

You should first allow your son to take up his new residence in Virginia with his older brother.

Then, after a few months have passed and it's clear that he's going to stay with his older brother, the latter can consult with a Virginia attorney to determine which form of guardianship

or other remedy would be most appropriate for your younger son that would permit his older brother to make major decisions in the life of the younger brother, whenever the need may arise.
