Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
undo adoption
I have adopted 6 children - 3 sibbling sets. I also have 2 children of my own. 3 of the adopted children got angry with me and made a plan. They went to school and said I abused them. It was not proven or disproven so now they want us to have a family counselor come into our home. Not a real problem there, the problem is that they lied and continue to lie. They know that I am now afraid to tell them No or to do something like their chores or to give them consequences for anything they do. So they do what ever they want and I am afraid to do anything about it. I am afraid they will lie again and do a better job of it the next time. I am afraid for myself and the other children in my home. These 3 children steal, lie and at one time even broke into my bedroom to steal what they wanted. I cant parent these children out of fear. I want to know how I can undo the adoption they are foster-adopted children.
I live in the state of Virginia but they were adopted in California.

Re: undo adoption
It is unlikely that you would be permitted to "unadopt" these adoptees even in California(and certainly not in Virginia)in my opinion. However, you may wish to consult with your local Department of Social Services office regarding any available programs which could be of assistance with these particular children or your local J&DRD court to determine whether they migh benefit from a so-called CHINS (Children In Need of Services) petition.
