Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Unfair Decision Based On Evaluator's Opinion

Recently a judge had ordered custody of my child to my husband due to what the evaluator deemed as poor living conditions at my home. This was due to the fact that the home was under construction at the time the evaluator was there and I even provided the evaluator pictures of the home after the construction was complete and welcomed him to re-evaluate the property before the court date. My current lawyer says that there really isn't anything we can do until the next hearing which is in March, but I can't imagine waiting that long based on a poor decision made by an evaluator who happened to visit the property while the home was being built. Do I have any other options?
