VA divorce-notice of depositions

I am filing my own divorce. What is a notice of deposition that I need to do and have served to my soon to be ex husband?

Re: VA divorce-notice of depositions

Depositions are normally handled by attorneys. Opposing counsel is served with a notice to appear

with his or her client at the issuing attorney's office at a particular date and time in order for this client to answer questions regarding the pending legal matter. This process is known as the taking of a deposition and these days is quite often videotaped or at least recorded by a court reporter who upon request will produce a transcript of the proceeding(for a fee, of course).

I would doubt that this is anything that you need to do as a party pro se(representing yourself) unless your divorce is being contested and sizeable marital property may be at stake and subject to equitable distribution or there are other important issues involving your dissolving marriage on which the parties cannot come to agreement.
