verbally abusive sibling

My mother is seriously ill in the hospital. Everytime I attempt to be at her bedside, I am verbally abused by my sister. She has control issues. I am an RN. Her most recent comment when I asked her to ''back off'' was ''what are you going to do, hit me like you do your children?'' which is completely false. How can I be at my mothers bedside when I am attacked verbally everytime I come into her room?

The law is not (and cannot be)a solver of all human problems. The situation described(animosity between sisters) is one example of this truism(in my opinion).
