Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Violation of Court Order

My ex-husband's employer has stopped the court-ordered monetary payments from our divorce decree. I cannot locate my ex-husband. What do I file and where do I file. The case was heard in Circuit Court.

Re: Violation of Court Order

Although he was obligated by the divorce decree to notify you in advance of any change of address, it appears he has not done so.

The first step may be to get in contact with his former employer to get any information about his present whereabouts. It may also be helpful to check his last post office to see if a change of address has been filed. If you know of any former friends who might have information, ask them

If all else fails, there are services available to track him down, for a fee.
