Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

violation of court order

In our final divorce decree, I am SOLELY responsible for a loan that is joint. After all paperwork was signed, my ex-wife called the bank on this loan, asked to re-write only in her name, borrow extra $1000. She actually filled out an application. I have proof in writing from the bank. Does this make her in violation and can I make her pay for half?

Re: violation of court order

One might ask, what are you now being required to pay for that was not stipulated to in the Property Settlement Agreement(PSA)?

If it's merely what was agreed to in the PSA, and you have no cognizable damages as a result of your former wife's apparent attempts at getting something more, then stifle your grievances and feelings of resentment, and allow matters to proceed as ordered in the final decree.(That would be my advice and nothing more.)
