Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
Virgina Code
I have a paper from the court that states that the parties shall not speak poorly about one another in front of the child or allow others to do so. It also states that the parties shall cooperate to encourage a loving relationship with the other parent. That neither parent is allowed to belittle the other parent and the parties shall put no obstacle in the way of the maintenance of love and affection between the children and the parents. It states that failure to encourage a good relationship with the other parent is a major factor in custody decisions. After these statements in parenthesis it list VA code 20-124.3 I know the code is about best interest of the child. Does the code apply to all of the statements or just the last one about a good relationship. Also this paper just says that this is rules of conduct in custody cases. An order is already in place. If my ex is making extremely negative statements about me to my child would this fall under the code and can I go back to court for this. The best examples I can give with out being inappropriate is that she has told my child I'm not his father, she does not trust me, that my child should not love me, I am a mean person, I'm a dumb..., My child is 5 and should not hear this

Re: Virgina Code
I would suggest that you consult with the attorney who hopefully respresented you in the matter which resulted in the "paper" which you've referenced, and who, after reviewing this and the other relevant paperwork connected with this matter, should be able to determine and explain to you what Virginia Code Sections or other relevant Virginia law may or may not be applicable to this particular situation, and, consequently, what remedies or course of legal action might you realistically pursue to resolve it.
And, if for some reason, this particular attorney is not available (or, perhaps, you never had one),
you should seek the counsel of another lawyer who is sufficiently familar with the Commonwealth's domestic relations law that he or she could credibly advise you on these matters.
