I am pregnant by a married man in virginia. Can I legally get him to pay for the medical expenses during my pregnancy? Also can he be made to help buy stuff for the baby ex. crib , carseat.

No, you cannot require that this putative father pay for these expenses although you should be able to make him liable for payment of child support once the newborn has arrived and the paternity of the child legally established.
