Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Visitation before agreement signed

My husband and I are separated, he hasnt seen our 2 yr old son in 3 weeks, by his own choice. He emailed me and asked if he could see him on a Sat afternoon. One of the main reasons we separated is he told me I spend to much time with our child..and there has not been an agreement signed. He has never taken care of the baby before, I am a little bit worried about his diaper getting changed and him being fed. Should I allow him to see him but limit it to a few hours until I know that he is willing and capable of actually taking responsibility for our sons care ?

Re: Visitation before agreement signed

In the absence of a valid court order dealing with the issue of the father's visitation with your two year old child, you're entitled to use your best judgment in this matter since you are the parent who has physical custody of the child.
