Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Visitation

My estranged husband and I have a Court date on May 23 so I can request Supervised Visitation with our children. He has been evicted from his home with no physical address, and is an Alcoholic in denial. Do I have to provide proof of some sort when we go, such as witnesses or documentation? What would the Judge do if he doesn't show up and has been served?

Re: Visitation

The judge would then likely await your offer of proof as to why he or she should order the supervised visitation

which you've requested. (And, yes, something beyond your mere allegations will normally be needed in terms of the proof required to make your case.)
