Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Visitation for the father

I have custody papers that set the terms that my ex is to pay health insurance only on the children under his current circumstances. he quit his job so he wouldn't have to pay child support based on his income level. but now i am having trouble getting my kids to the designated 2 hr drive to meet him half way. i have explained this to my ex and offered the children to him if he would come the full way to see them. he refuses and i can not afford to take them for the visits twice monthly. he is taking me to court for this. what can i do? i don't want to found in contempt for i have tried to work this out with him.

Simply explain it to the court as you've done

here, and offer to consider compromise arrangements.
