Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

visitation question

My ex has custody i haven't seen my kids in 2 years now she is taking me to court for not taking them everyother weekend. I have do not wish to visit with my kids at this time can the court make me?

A very unusual question. Might try calling the mother and just talking it over or maybe pay her a visit and chat about it. If you can't visit the kids, we wonder if they are old enough to talk to you on the phone. I doubt very much whether there is a legal remedy. If anyone should ever try to adopt one of the children the subject might be brought up regarding the need or lack of need for your consent.

No, the Court cannot and will not require you to have visits with your children which you don't wish to have.
