Wha is meant by temporary custody and can other parent get custody back?

Temporary custody can be utilized in many contexts. Are you speaking of a temporary custody order entered at a status hearing. If so, it can be changed. Usually the parent has a better chance at winning custody at full hearing...but there are exceptions.
