Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
Don't know where my wife and daughter are
In April of 07 I left the home of my ''best Friend'' where my wife, and child lived temporarily. She started having an affair with him. We have joint physical custody of our child. There are no legal papers filed yet only a legal visitation paper. We can't file for a divorce until next spring. I told her I won't file because I have been trying to save our marriage. Last Thursday, she left the state with her boyfriend and and our child. I have no idea where she went. She refuses to tell me where she is. I am suppose to get our child Monday morning. Isn't there something I can do legally to prevent this and what do I do if she doesn't come back Monday?

You may wish to consider contacting your local DCSE district office to determine whether you may want to apply for their locate and child support enforcement services and who are likely to be in the best position to advise you on this matter.
