Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My wife is in the Navy and is deployed at the moment. She wants a divorce. I've put my life on hold to raise her kids while she started her career. Is there anything coming to me so that i dont get screwed in this? What steps do I have to take so that this doen't happen. All I know that it is not reconcilable.

Your first step should be to retain a competent attorney who is knowledgeable

and experienced in divorce matters as they're handled in the Commonwealth

and who should be able to advise you on the other steps which may be involved in protecting your interests(as well as those of the children) as the case proceeds along towards the entry of a final decree of divorce.
