Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

my wife and i are separated and we have joint custody of the kids. she lives in new york state and i live in virginia and i am in the military. every time i ask her if i can see the kids she always says no or says that i have to come up there and she always has to go with them wherever i want to take them. she never lets me have them for the weekend or overnight. what can i do?

You could petition/motion the court which granted joint custody for a Rule

to Show Cause against your wife(as to why she should not be held in contempt

of court for interfering with the rights given to you under this

court's order regarding this matter).
