Does the decease Will supersede the life insurance policy if the person on the life insurance policy is nowhere to be found and the funeral needs to be paid ?

Life insurance policy proceeds are normally payable according to the terms of the policy which should include a provision as to what happens to the proceeds when the named beneficiary cannot be located or is not available for whatever reason to

receive them.

No. With internet searching capabilities, it's very difficult to say that somebody cannot be found nowadays. If you want the life insurance money, you will have to convince the company through court action that the beneficiary cannot be found after due diligence. It's quite likely that the life insurance company could find the beneficiary and may know where (s)he is- just won't tell you. This is not an easy matter and I suggest you find a lawyer to see if there is any chance that the life insurance can revert back to the estate. Good Luck.
