Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

After one year sepration...

My fiance' has been seperated for 1 year.. he's in the military and has filed for divorce... is he required by law to pay for her care? There were no children of this marriage.

If you mean to ask whether your fiance may be required to pay alimony to his former wife, the

answer is that it depends on the facts particular to his case.

A short surmise would be that if the marriage was relatively brief and there were no children to interfere with the wife's earning potential, chances are that no alimony or temporary mantanence will be awarded to the wife.
