Legal Question in Medical Leave in Virginia

My 2yr old son being sick once a month

He is sick about once a month, fevers up to 104.00, we to er or drs, and they it is vieral, but he gets this once a month, can I qualify under fmla? or are there any rights to protect me? I am a single mom, and I have noone else to watch him, everyone I know works, and I have a high rating at work. Is there any help for me to keep from losing my job, and stay off welfare?

Yes, you should be eligible under FMLA for (unpaid) intermitent leave in order to care for your ailing child.(The foregoing assumes, of course, that both you and your employer meet the criteria necessary for coverage under FMLA.)
