Legal Question in Medical Leave in Virginia

Adhd

I have an 11 year old son who has been diagnosed with ADHD and requires 4 sessions of therapy monthly can this be considered as FMLA? In addition to that my insurance only covers 30 visits per year I am worried that I will exceed these and have heard that children with ADHD can qualify for some sort of disability benefits is this true?

Re: Adhd

Employee leave under FMLA is allowed in order "to care for an immediate family member(spouse, child, or parent)with a serious health condition".

ADHD diagnosed in your son should meet the above condition for eligibility.

Whether your son would qualify for disability benefits under some other program, I have no idea.
