Legal Question in Medical Leave in Virginia

My doctor only after signing the form and faxing the one page document advised me that he was going to charge me $300.00 for filling out my 1 page FMLA form. Is that legal since he advised me after the fact and he doesn't have that charge anywhere else in writing. I understand him charging a fee...but this seems excessive!!

Yes, quite excessive, but likely quite legal, which is reason enough, perhaps, for

you to be looking elsewhere for your physician services.
