was asked by employer to either resign or be terminated by wednesday. my flma dtae will not be up till aug 30 ,2008.dad just had cancer surgery.i need help

More information required, but your employer cannot legally terminate you for taking FMLA leave in order to care for your ailing father, which is a valid basis for such leave.
